Okay it’s officially my birthday so most likely I will not be online all day enjoying my offline time. In the meanwhile Saukrates is finishing up his “Season One” album. If you ask me it’s about time that we brought back our Slept on Sundays again after hearing two Saukrates joints, one old (thnx to Ourmanhenri) and one new (thnx to FWMJ).

Remember how this Canadian cat used to drop classics like “Father Time” and how ridiculously epic the “Brick House” EP was? For those who aren’t pre-historic like me just check out what Saukrates was dropping about six months ago in the form of “Hot Like Summer” featuring the incredibly hot Andreena Mill. The second song, “Soaring To Heaven Pt.2” was produced by Rich Kidd and man is this a killer production!

This is what everybody’s been waiting for all year. Sexy soulstress Erykah Badu is back with a brand new album entitled “New Amerykah pt. 2: Return of the Ankh” and it’s hella good. She really got us worried when that joint with Lil Wayne leaked, but thank god that isn’t on the album. When “Window Seat” leaked I knew this was going to be like old times. Probably the best Nu-Soul album I’ve heard in a while and even if she did cover Sylvia Striplin‘s “You Can’t Turn Me Away”…it’s all good. Miss Erykah can get away with stuff like that, because she drops songs like “Love” and “Fall In Love” on Return of the Ankh. Been a long time since I’ve bought an album, but this is a birthday present I wouldn’t mind getting. Is there anyone who’s still looking to buy me a gift? One of our favourite MC’s from L.A. – Dom Kennedy – just dropped a brand new FREE album entitled “From The Westside With Love” which consists out of 16 tracks. This third release sounds so damn good featuring DeShay, L.A.U.S.D., Overdoz, Skeme & Polyester. Shit makes me wanna move to Cali to catch some of dem vibes. This Friday we go for Broke @ the Stroomhuis in Eindhoven. Bangin’ parties like these keep us on the grind and trust me shit will get hectic! This is truly one of the ones to watch! “To Have & To Hold” is a vinyl inspired documentary or musicmentory. Director Jony Lyle gives us a brief teaser of this upcoming film in celebration of the age of vinyl records.”

Loads of rooms filled with records, huge music collections, archive footage and even a peak in a pressing plant. The movie is scheduled to be released later this year so all you addicts better get those fingers dusty. It features interviews with notable vinyl aficionados as Questlove, Chuck D, Bobbito Garcia, DJ Amir, Bruce Lundvall, Christian Marclay, and Paul Mawhinney. Shout out to Cratekings for this one.

Over a week ago we had the honor of playing with B.Bravo and TOKiMONSTA at the BCKWLD! event in Amsterdam. To give Amsterdam a small taste of what they’ve been missing out on in London, we intvited Red Bull Radio to record both their sets and we’re happy to share them with you. We also shot some nice video footage and asked both Cali residents about their RBMA adventures. Big shout out to Joao Costa for the camera work and editing.
