For the past month I’ve been wondering about what Conya Doss‘ new “A Pocketful of Purpose” album would sound like. Six years ago I thought “Love Rain Down” was kinda nice and I remember bumping some of those songs from time to time. After having skimmed through her new album, I came to the conclusion it doesn’t sound very 2012 at all. There are a couple of nice soulful R&B joints on there, but nothing I might have been expecting a little more after all these years.
