Tru Thoughts is steadily bringing out quality music and although Belleruche is not exactly our cup of tea, this Kidkanevil remix is! The London trio released their third “270 Stories” album last month. Next month “Fuzz Face” will drop as a digital single with on the flipside Kidkanevil’s of “Backyard”. Talented Dutch producer Dukehugh, hailing from Groningen, seems to amaze us time and time again. This time with the “St. Louis To Madrid” remix EP he dropped yesterday on his Bandcamp. You remember Olivier DaySoul‘s “Mr Saint Louis” EP produced by Odissee right? Well Hugo manages to conjure up four remixes each with a totally different take. Amsterdam-based singer Mar comes from a musical fam with his dad being a musician and also his older sister Ninthe. Earlier this year he released the “Conversations With Her” EP together with Full Crate on Melting Pot Music. His latest project is called “Mar Variations” and the concept is that he basically adds a little extra vocal niceness to an already existing song, instrumental, etc. Louis Bordeaux his “1st Session” was already a gem, but with some subtle additions it becomes ever shinier then before. Picking up where the “Cosmopolyphonic” compilation left us, Tokyo-based (originally hailing from Canada) producer Fitz Ambro$se just released his “Pdiso” EP on Icasea. It features Devonwho from Klipmode and a very solid debut release if you ask me. Pick yourself up a copy via and get educated about the Tokyo beat scene.
