Last week me and K-Murda went digging at Rasputin’s in the Bay and we saw Dwele new “W.Ants W.Orld W.Omen” album. We could only listen to half of the songs, so we decided to listen to the whole thing first before deciding whether to buy or not. Sorry for being late, but in the end I got a chance to listen to it more closely. Whenever there’s a DJ Quik production on there…I say buy! Not Dwele’s best album, but still you should go to and support some of that Motor City Soul.

To celebrate the 4th of July Eric Lau did this charity project in benefit of Save The Children. Eric Lau takes the same ingredients he used for his past work, but added some extra from his friends. The team consist of Rahel, Szjerdene, Fatima, Sarina Leah, Ben Jones, Akwasi Mensa, Finn Peters, Pauli Stan Mckenzie, & Floating Points.

“This is not an original beat of mine…..I just added a few bass and string joints in there and mostly mixed it. The melody including a few samples is a cover of Devonwho’s original “Actriz” from his beat CD “Funraiser Vol. 1: Thumbtracks”. As for the drums, those are originally Black Milk’s from his “Purple Rain” Beat CD. And of course I had to spice some Dilla in it…..I just wanted to see how two of my favorite joints would sound together”. – NAMELESS

Swedish producer Erik L is back again with the fourth release on Soularp Records. This time in collaboration with Jackson, MS emcee 7even:Thirty . Erik L is known for his soulful and funk driven instrumental music, but also his work with the groups Favorite Flava and Supersci as well as artists like Frank n Dank and Cerebral Vortex to name a few. He plays a mixture of live instruments to attain his characteristic harmonic style. Since a young age 7even:Thirty, who also is a producer has worked diligently at developing his own sound, a sound he describes as a “futurefunkylectrosoulop soundscape for the ears and mind.” His first LP “Star”: The Seven Thirty Experience” has been cited an album that fans of good hip-hop music can spend some serious time enjoying and has been moving off of shelves, both physical and virtual, and out of the trunk of 7even:Thirty’s spaceship. A year after there 1st release “State-Ik” the production trio from Amsterdam decided it was time for there first album. StatikMusic exciting out of the members SkullY, AllOne and R.I.L. saying this album “BEAT+1” was there first project. On June 30^th they feel the world is ready for there masterpiece. BEAT+1 is an instrumental album based on a story, with variations like FeelGood, SoulFullGrime etc. Statik show there diversity without losing there sound.
