Yesterday Nottz leaked this unreleased version of “Life of The Party” and it’s simply put…DOPE! A lot of Nottz this week, but I ain’t complaining at all.

Just as “Odd Summer” & “Odd Autumn” did, “Odd Winter” will be the theme music to it’s season. I think it’s a great collection of winter time music, downloadable HERE for free!

It was produced by Nottz and originally Phonte and Von Pea were on it. This never came out and was actually supposed to be an album joint (pre Weezy). Enjoy this one…it’s bangin’.

Kinda late, but fashionably we bring this soothing soul album to your attention. You might know Jimetta from her work on Georgia Anne Muldrow‘s album and more recent from her feature on Shafiq Husayn‘s “Lost & Found” with Bilal on there as well. Get your copy at her Bandcamp after you’ve sampled some audible snacks below. First of all “Glory Us” which was produced by her drummer Ramon “Monchis” Rios and secondly “Sweet Necessity” produced by J.Bizness & Bombay.

Dutch youngin’ Jameszoo (Beatt-apes crew member) has been DJ’ing for quite some time now and has played along side of people like Cinnaman (Beat Dimensions). Also keep an eye for him on the production side, but more about that on a different note. His style is very electronic and experimental, yet he tries to put some soulfulness in the mix. Clothing brand No Rest For The Obsessed decided to approach him to make a mixtape and here it is…“NRFTO MIX 001”. Y’skid did the recording, Tommy Smits the photography and NRFTO did the cover.
We told you about Jose James‘ “Blackmagic” album and yes it’s almost out! It has productions on it by Taylor McFerrin, DJ Mitsu the Beats and of course Flying Lotus. Go check out the album for yourself and pay extra attention to tracks like “Code” and “Made For Love” (both produced by FlyLo) and “Electromagnetic” (Japan only!) featuring Ben Westbeech + TK Wonder. Pre-order now through our friends at Rushhour.

He sent us a video a few months back and we liked it a lot, but I personally never digged deeper than that. Now my man Deluge recently did and in light of his On-Point interview, I thought it would be only right to get ya’ll hip to Madstalley as well.
This Ohio native hailing from New York dropped his mixtape “MadStalley: The Autobiography” last year, done over re-workings of Madlib beats showcasing his potential. Now 2010 is definitely Stalley’s year to blow. Stalley’s heavily featured on Ski Beatz upcoming “24 Hour Karate School” mixtape (on Dame Dash’ Creative Control label) and is also set to release a project in collaboration with Sa-Ra Creative Partners.

Fashionably late, but right on time we present to you the “Conversations With Her” EP. Now a lot of you got hip to Full Crate & Mar through us and it’s only logic that we support these guys like we have been doing from the get go. This soulful, soothing piece of music was something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time and finally it’s here. Thanks to Melting Pot Music for releasing this and hope to see a lot of you at the release party Saturday 23rd at the Bitterzoet in Amsterdam (more info after the jump).
Eric Roberson was so impressed with “She Was Fly” that he decided to record some slick vocals over it. That version is also on the EP, together with my favorite joint “Surreal Moments”. Just had to stream that one, cuz it has been on repeat for over a month now. I urge you to get your digital copy via
or for the vinyl-lovers that good old wax via HHV or Loop23! [photo credits: Robert Winter]

This Dutch duo made me go nuts, when I heard this for the first time. Some real quality music right here if you ask me and it really got me curious about Kid Sublime’s upcoming “Love Notes” album.
