Yesterday Dorian Concept dropped a hot one via Twitter. This new joint “Bipolar Friendship” is on his myspace and we just wanted to share it with ya’ll. Lets call it a quick fix..

These are “The Original Recipes” – a collection of Cook Classics beats from the last few years. They managed to plug about 40 beats into a twenty minute set by the incredible DJ Seano. The tape starts with hip hop, but by the end you’ll be dancing like a teeny-bopper to some serious pop and uptempo production. To all the beat-jacking loop builders out there, we kindly introduce the funky chicken and our favorite lazer sounds to make your life just a little more difficult. Remember, this is only a small selection of hundreds of Cook beats, so if you want to work, hit me up! It’s time to cook, biatch!

Yesterday they released another must have release “Pins and Digits”. This is Julien Dyne’s long awaited debut album following the critical acclaim of his first release “Phantom Limbo EP” (2007). Best known for his work as the drummer for Opensouls and Tyra and the Tornadoes, Julien has also worked with the likes of Verse Two, Nathan Haines, Fat Freddy’s Drop and Ladi6. Head on over to BBE’s website to purchase this soulful EP. Big up Lefto for hooking us up with the remix that came out on Wonderful Noise.

Featuring the incredible vocal talent of Swedish born/Hackney bred artist Fatima (who some of you will recognize through collaborations with SA-RA’s Shafiq Husayn and Stones Throws Dam-Funk) Kleer is the title track taken from the forthcoming 4 track EP, which showcases Funkineven’s individual futuristic soul bounce. Being his debut release we felt it only right to go all out and press the vinyl up on clear wax, so hold tight for the finished product. Having already been heavily supported in it’s demo form by 1Xtra’s Benji B, the track is now finished, mastered and ready to take on the globe!
West Londoner FunkinEven creates sounds that inhabit a similar atmosphere to The Neptunes, Model 500 and Bugz In The Attic just as much as they do Cameo, NPG and Zapp. Take a listen and invent your own labels… we just know that everytime it’s been performed live it has most definitely “blown up tha spot!”. The full EP will also feature two B side tacks ‘Mad Swing’ and ‘You’, which where previously available as rough versions on the net but have now been finished, polished and mastered for your bumping enjoyment. Their debut full-length album, “In The Ruff”, is out today via Mello Music Group. The album, which features two brand new tracks from the group as well as their hard to come by material from a limited release this spring, is available in stores and on iTunes. One of the just-released tracks is “Something For Y’all” produced by Kev Brown. While District member Oddisee produces the vast majority of Diamond District’s songs himself, working with Brown hardly involved leaving the group’s comfort zone. “Working with Kev is honestly keeping it in-house – he founded the Low Budget Crew and gave birth to everything that I’m doing right now. We wanted that signature Kev Brown sound- grimy soul.”
“Something For Y’all” showcases emcees Oddisee, X.O. and yU trading verses, rapping to their audience, and trying to upstage each other. The track has a distinctively old school vibe. This old school spirit is one of the attributes that has made Diamond District’s debut so hotly anticipated. “In The Ruff” is available now as digital download and on CD via Mello Music Group…(via Audible Treats)

He’s all about chopping up 70’s/soul/breakbeats/whatever- stuff. We’re really excited about this “02” track and you’d better keep your eyes on this cat from Groningen, cuz he’s making moves next year. He finished his new mixtape and is doing some beats for several dutch MC’s. European and Stateside MC’s…better holla at this guy before he blows up.

After many succesful ‘Strange’ series (remember those classic “Strange Games and Things” compilations?) it’s about time BBE released a sequal to “Strange Breaks”. It’s successor is called “Strange Breaks & Mr. Thing Vol. 2” and is set to release tomorrow as a digital release. For those who don’t know…Mr. Thing scratches shit up like an angry hooker in a catfight. Eighteen of the best kept breaks are mixed together for your listening pleasure just to give you a taste. If you want to own each and every single one of these rarities, be sure to buy this sick ass compilation HERE. In the meanwhile visit our Mixcloud to check out the mix!

Basically this is an old mix that my man Crate had lying around from a while back and he didn’t want to keep it from ya’ll. We were supposed to host this mix, but due to the malware issues we were having our buddy Nalden picked this one up. A nice new classic soul mix to make love to…isn’t that what nearly every Full Crate song is made for 😉 Tracklist cound be found after the jump..and photo credits to Pat Jay.

Last time we wrote about this young cat, he hooked up with Full Crate & Mar on “Make Me Laugh”. After this he dropped his 8 track EP entitled “Synergy” with one of his best friends, Lucid. His latest release “All In” carries a poker theme throughout and reminds you that life’s a gamble. You can either play your hand, or you can fold…right where you stand. In case you were wondering…Pajozo did a fine job on the production side things.
