Oh dear, how could we almost forget about Scratcha DVA‘s “Pretty Ugly” album? It was released last month on Hyperdub Records and kind of slipped our ears so to speak. However this album is surely not to be slept on I tell ya. Miss Ayah and mister Slakah The Beatchild collaborate on something brand new here. Their song “Keep Up” is on a different vibe (a little more pop) then we’re used to, but still sounds fresh though. Somehow this is slightly reminiscent of some MJ Cole meets Jazzanova type of music, but still Slakah at the same time.
