Just realized that Hawthorne Headhunters‘ full-length album “Myriad of Now” released today on Plug Research. There’s some nice new music on here as well as some older stuff as well, I remember “Luv Galactic” finding it’s way to us a few years back and I could swear DaM-FunK had a feature on there as well. A song I hadn’t heard before, but immediatly stood out is “Sum People Don’t Change”. Thanks to the good people of Plug Research for giving away “Yellow Cougar” as a free download. Go ahead and buy the full-length album on , it’s pretty good.

Miss Ayah and mister Slakah The Beatchild collaborate on something brand new here. Their song “Keep Up” is on a different vibe (a little more pop) then we’re used to, but still sounds fresh though. Somehow this is slightly reminiscent of some MJ Cole meets Jazzanova type of music, but still Slakah at the same time. This was a UK-only bonus track off Common’s “Be” album in 2005. Should’ve gotten a lot more attention if you ask me! Perfect Slept on Easter Sunday right? Enjoy the holidays..

We heard about Leon Ware coming out with a new song featuring Quadron a few weeks ago. Not much info was available yet, but luckily we found a stream for you on Soundcloud. Later this month “Orchids For The Sun” is coming out on 12″ vinyl on the Los Angeles-based label Quieres Chicle Records. This was destined to be dope if you ask me!

A promise is a promise is a promise! It’s that time of the week again and I’m not talking about church. The third consecutive Slept on Sundays is a fact after a long leave of absence. Today we have an oldie from Innerzone Orchestra featuring Paul Randolph. Their version of “People Make The World Go Round” came out around 2000 on Planet E and contained a few remixes from J88, Ta’Raach and Kenny Dixon Jr. We thought we’d share the J88 remix with you since it’s down right nasty!

Back in ’09 Griffi and Aqeel teamed up to form the Chacho Brodas duo. I remember I asked Del Palo Records for some promo material two years ago and received the “Date Cuenta” album in the mail. An absolut banger on there was “No Pares”, but for some reason I never managed to post it. That’s what Slept on Sundays are for right?! The albums is still available on in case you were wondering.
