You might have noticed a rapid decrease in posts these past few weeks, but have no fear. We aren’t going anywhere! The bar has just been raised considarably and now we only post finds we think we truly have to share with you guys. Like this new Sure Thing 12″ entitled “Holding You Tight” featuring Dubstep heavyweight Joker on keys. These Bristol boogie boys really know how to get down and honestly this must be one of the nicest Modern Funk jams I’ve heard in a while. The main man behind this one is DJ Die and the vocal contributions come from miss Chloé Lang. Grab a copy of this at your local record shop, cuz you need this filthy Gutterfunk release.

So after a few days of sunshine, not checking my inbox and takin’ it easy. I thought it was about time to get back to posting modern day music that I think is fresh. You can say anything you want about Flying Lotus, but there is no denying this leak of his upcoming “Until The Quiet Comes” album (due Oct. 1st) is amazingly nice. Take a quick listen of “See Thru To U” featuring miss Erykah Badu and enjoy life!

Just got word that the guys from Union releases their second video of their full length “Analogtronics” album released earlier this year on Fat Beats. This animated video was made by Jesse Mann and was made using only clay and paper. In case you haven’t purchased the LP yet, go ahead and visit the Fat Beats shop.

French Gangsta Funk producer Dogg Master is at it again. Together with Djë he produced “P-Funkin'” for Enois Scroggins, which will be on the upcoming “Cocktails” Vol. 4 (out on Doggy Phunk Palace later this week). Peep the video and make sure you get your Funk on properly!

Dutch production trio, The Pilots, is working on their debut album coming out on the Russian Ritmo Sportivo label this summer. And what better way to introduce the world to your sound than to drop a dope video…right? The official videoclip for the track “Q&A” (Question & Answer) dropped just now and will take you on a journey through the thoughts and believes of these three young producers.

Oh dear, how could we almost forget about Scratcha DVA‘s “Pretty Ugly” album? It was released last month on Hyperdub Records and kind of slipped our ears so to speak. However this album is surely not to be slept on I tell ya. There’s a few hidden gems to be found on here featuring a bunch of incredibly talented artists such as Vikter Duplaix, Fatima, Muhsinah, Zaki Ibrahim, Natalie Maddix, Cornelia & AL.
