From Berlin to London to Lonely Town:
As you guys and gals might know, we’ve been supporting the half Chilean producer called fLako for quite some time over at Moovmnt. We’ve met a few times and he is a very humble guy. He’s been living in London for a while now and is releasing his brand new project entitled “Carving Away The Clay” today. This EP is on some new and improved shit and clearly fLako has been evolving in sound and style over the past few years. The text below expresses the thought behind the EP, which will is available on 10″ vinyl (Rush Hour) as well as digitally via Bandcamp.
‘Carving Away The Clay’ impresses upon the idea of an ongoing process in which raw material is stripped off of anything superfluous or impeding until the essential parts of ourselves are exposed. It is a never ending process of striving for perfection in all areas of life.

We are happy to introduce this fresh vocalist Taprikk Sweezee, who was born in Berlin and is now living/working in Hamburg. He has a small label called Zoikmusic and released his “Conversea” EP last year. On his new “Poly” EP he works with producers such as Busy (USA), E.A.R.L (Netherlands) and HBO (France). As far as the sound goes…this EP is really all over the place. I hear some futuristic funk, nu soul, glitch and many other influences on here. Our personal favorite has to be “Newend”. Vocal sweetness combined with electronic mayhem…that’s what’s up. Look out for the EP to drop later this month and in case you’d like to pre-order visit Boomkat. More buy links will follow.
Now Taprikk was nice enough to give our visitors (that’s you) a chance to win a 12″ vinyl copy of his brand new EP. All you have to do is spell his name ‘Taprikk Sweezee’ in your own personal creative way. You can use object to spell it or just use your own handwriting. You don’t have to be a graphic designer to enter. Just be original and get a little creative. Make sure you take a picture of your creation. We have a couple of records to give away. So just send your entry to contest[@]moovmnt.com (before February 24th) with your name, address and of course your creation.

Last year Brittany Bosco released “The Spectrum” EP and has continued to ride this pulse, making it’s vibrations and sound audible to those in the mainstream industry. She recently released her debut video, “Blues for Blue/Black & White”, and did a lot of performances on both coasts. In September it’s time she crosses the pond and blesses Europe with her onstage presence and golden voice. She will do shows in London, Paris and I heard Rotterdam was on the agenda too…so stay tuned for more info!
Now, with the release of her next compilation, “The Spectrum Re-Release”, followed by BLACK in the fall of 2009 Bosco and The Big Up! creative collective continue to develop the Bosco brand. You might remember we posted “Glitch” a while ago that was produced by Knxwledge. Check out miss Bosco for yourself by visiting her Bandcamp and get yourself some audible niceness while you’re at it.
