Somebody reminded me of this Ghetto Blastic & Soulition present Nodzilla AKA DJ Needles “Baadasssss” EP today. Don’t know why we didn’t post this a while back, but that’s exactly where the Slept on Sundays are for. Very nice Sunday groove on the stand out joint “Place called forever” featuring Coultrain, Black Spade & Philippe. Enjoy..

BTS picks for the compilation come from Dibiase the Red Bull-LA Big Tune 2010 Champion and S.Maharba who creates infectious, haunting, boom-bap inspired pieces and features a ghostly vocal from Jed and Lucia. Letherette are becoming one of the most hotly tipped acts in electronic music and Jed and Lucia drop a brand new sunny-styled chill wave-goes-Brazil cut called “This is Why.” Don’t forget to visit you local recordstore on Record Store Day (April 16th) to pick up the limited red vinyl. ‘The Mesektet’, in ancient egyptian mythology, is one of the two solar boats used by the sun god ‘Ra’ to travel through the cycle of night and day and carry the moon across the sky. It is told that he died every dusk, had to fight the dark forces of the underworld and bring light to the dead souls as he passed through – just to be reborn in the morning. Just like the sun god fLako uses ‘The Mesektet’ to end the cycle of darkness and prepare for his own rebirth, marking the end of an era in his style of production and move forward into new musical directions, which he already started to explore on his ‘Mini Toolbooth EP’. This release includes a collection of previously unreleased or only digitally available works from the time up until 2008. The artwork was created by surrealistic painter Dan May and this 2 x 12″ will be out May 6 on Project Mooncircle.
