London’s vocalist Stac returns with fifteen remixes on her new “Turn That Light Out: The Remixes/Vol. Two” album. Honestly I’m not feeling this remix album at all accept for Kidkanevil‘s remix that is. Might just be a London thing I’m not supposed to get or something. Anyways..didn’t want to keep this one song from you all, cuz I’m kinda digging her vocals with his production.

One of my favorite Frenchies must be the homie Onra. He just put a brand new demo on his Soundcloud which we’d “L.O.V.E” to share with you. Really wanted to go see Onra, Benji B, Jamie XX, Mark de Clive-Lowe and Lefto play tomorrow at the Demo party in Ghent (Belgium), but I’m afraid we’re not going to make it after all.

“2nd 7” of this series dedicated to the “Children of the Drum & Repetitive Beats Lovers” Faces Records is proud to introduce you a new “face” on board : Sam Verstraten aka Sam A La Bamalot is a new Dutch producer. Armed with a MPC1000, MicroKorg and a KaossPad he creates futuristic soundwalls with crooked, broken vertebra drum patterns, while suddenly strange vocals shoot through your ears from left to right.
The A-side “A Bird’s Leg” was favourited by Gilles Peterson and played already many times on his Worldwide show as well as on Benji B‘s & DJ Lefto’s show. This is now available for pre-order on the Rush Hour website.

Brooklyn native Fresh Daily has just released his “The Quiet Life” album. And yes…it sounds fresh! Being somewhat of a hiphop critic, I’m not one to label an album as dope very easily. Yet Fresh seems to deliver like the milkman does early in the morning. Productions by Mndsgn, Hi-Res, Theory Hazit, The Stuyvesants and many more. Oh and it’s available for FREE over at his Bandcamp page.

In the last few years I never heard any music from Musiq Soulchild that got close to that “Aijuswanaseing” feeling. Didn’t think his new “Musiqinthemagiq” album would contain anything that would come close…BUT. I was wrong! In my opinion “Befriends” is just what the world was waiting for and a good reason to visit Musiqinthemagiq (Deluxe Version) - Musiq Soulchild for a possible purchase.

So you read all about fLako‘s ‘The Mesektet’ album by now huh? As stated before it’s a collection of music previously only available digitally or not vailable at all. The album was supposed to drop in only a few days, but I just saw that HHV is expecting them around the 20th instead. Either way you can pre-order a 2 x 7″ vinyl copy with beautiful artwork by painter Dan May and listen to another sneak preview.

Miss Dezaray Dawn is a German-born, Southern-raised, army brat/self-described gypsy. Having lived in 2 countries, 4 states, and 6 US cities by the time she was 16. She attended 16 schools in 12 years, and Dezaray states: “When nothing else was solid in my life, there was always music”. We’ve been keeping a close eye on this lady for some years now and with her new song “Sail Away” she caught our attention. Produced by Marc Mac and of her upcoming DEEP EP dropping May 31 on Bandcamp and other digital outlets via Sol Heir Music.
