UK producer duo The Code from the UK have been coming up through the ranks. They draw inspiration from Fleetwood Mac to James Blake and everything in between. When it comes to the creations of The Code, there are no restrictions. The future of R&B kinda looks like this I guess.

Their deep infectious track called “9.46” is uplifting and makes you want to get down low and dirty. Another track “Natural” taken from their debut EP “1/11“, was premiered on i-D a few days ago. The elusive pair will release their debut mid August so stay tuned!

Something we at Moovmnt headquarters have been waiting for for a while is Jordan Rakei‘s new “Groove Curse” EP.

The first single featuring Gwen Bunn is entitled “Street Light” and gives you an impression on how wonderful this project is going to sound. We were fortunate to get a full listen and let me tell you this is some next level S O U L music. Other tracks such as “A Tribe Called Government” and “Add The Bassline” are so good that I just had to take a deep breath and sigh. Thank you Jordan for being one of the few to keep Soul music fresh and organic. And yes I will go as far as to call you the future of Soul. Goodbye D’Angelo, hello Jordan Rakei. All we need now is Jordan to strip naked and do a video for the ladies.

Pre-order the vinyl 12-inch on the Soul Has No Tempo Bandcamp page. Incredible first release on this new label out of Brisbane.

Canadian producer Pomo has been on our radar for a minute, but his brand new track “Only You” is something we just could not keep from you.

Pomo recently did a nice remix for London’s Snakehips, but what few people know is that he’s 1/2 of the duo Nouvel Âge. Me and the homey B. Bravo were going nuts over their “Let Me Know” which has quite the subtle homoerotic feel to it (perverted minds I guess). Anyway Pomo is releasing an EP via L.A.’s label HW&W soon, so get ready to be amazed by his clean ass electronic funk sound. I really love hearing this kind of music in clubs, so DJ’s ya’ll better recognized. Download his new track right here!

Young buck Sam Gellaitry grew up in the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh and now resides in Stirling. Earlier this week he remixed tlm_‘s track “Cherish“, which was pretty under the radar if you ask me. Bang up job though on adding some electronic flavor to this slick R&B jam.

Seems unimagineable how a seventeen year old kid, who started making music at age twelve, is blowing up so fast. Welcome to a new era. Sam is signed to Soulection and will release a white label EP probably later this year. With additional support from HW&W, Sam Gellaitry is destined to go places.

Paul Chin is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based out of Toronto. By day he works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, but by night he is a producer and DJ.

Paul brings to life dreams of fairytales with his subtle yet harmonic electronic music. His “The Forest” EP explores the story of the individual and the world surrounding him. Inspired by the writings of Donald Miller, Chin also enlists Johanna Wienhølts as a companion storyteller in his latest electronic fable, composing his most thoughtful piece to date.

Paul Chin’s Cosmonostro release came out last month and is something you should take a listen to.

Aywy and Sh?m aka Shem Questionmark are both part of the new generation of beat makers. They have both been on our radar for a while, but I think it’s about time we told you what’s going on. These two gentlemen got together (online) and created this futuristic funky flip of Maxwell‘s classic “Ascension“.

Aywy, who’s from Sydney, is co-founder at Flow-Fi. From what I’ve heard a collective of producers that joined forces and now are making some power moves. Sh?m resides in London and is signed to everyone’s favorite label from Singapore…Darker Than Wax. Although normally I’m not the biggest fan of edits and remixes, I’m pretty damn sure their Maxwell edit is going to blow up a few dance floors across the globe. And what a great news that it’s available for free download!

Portland record label Dropping Gems releases the latest installment of their compilation series “Gem Drops Four“.

Their take on electronic music is an interesting one. For they are known to highlight stirring off grid music, rather then go for what is a safe choice. For Gem Drops Four they assembled twenty one tracks from artists like Devonwho, Free The Robots, Pixelord, but also from label family Gouda Hoop and Shawn Don. Devonwho‘s track “Sunder” is an instant win and obvious pick for us.

The official release is today and the compilation is available digitally and on limited edition cassette tape.

IAMNOBODI‘s “Brothers” was given to us to premiere and it is with pleasure that we tell you to clean your ears and open up those earholes. The track goes from rather ominous to straight Cali vibin’. By the way the homey almost has 50k followers on Soundcloud, so we’d like to congratulate him in advance!

Technically it’s far from “Summer In Jakarta” at the moment, but who cares? The good people over at Jakarta Records have made a collection of previously unreleased music for us. Artists such as 20Syl, Ta-ku, IAMNOBODI, Mura Masa, Suff Daddy, FloFilz, Guts and many others are featured on this action packed compilation.

FYI…the Summer In Jakarta compilation will be available as a free download. Selected retailers will have a free cassette tapes and a super limited vinyl version was pressed up too. The wax will not be for sale, but will only be given away. So stay tuned..

Thatmanmonkz from Sheffield runs the Shadeleaf Music label and also produces music. For his upcoming “To Repel Ghosts” 12-inch coming out next month on Kolour LTD, Scott called in the help of Pete Simpson and one of our favorite producers at the moment. Yes Glenn Astro‘s Reminisce of the track “Remember” is on that soulful House tip and sounds like an amazing summer filled with good music. Actually that cut “Stars” on the flipside with J. Gordon sounds pretty dope too.

We deemed it necessary to stream a little sneak preview for you to enjoy. In our opinion Thatmanmonkz’ release is a must cop and will be available on Juno soon.
